Clyde Lucas, another active member of the Western Music Association, performs original Western music mixed with Western traditional and some theme songs. Clyde is the Musical Director for the Golden Boot Awards which benefits the Motion Picture & Television Fund. Clyde and his singing partner, Bobbi also performed the Ceremony music for the awards show . They were the house band at Knott's Berry Farm where they opened for the "King of the Cowboys" himself Mr. Roy Rogers! His tribute song/video: "John Wayne: He's America" is now featured on both the American Cowboy Magazine and the Official John Wayne websites. He has been creative partners with Harry Carey Jr. for over 20 years and their latest production: “Tales From The Set” is hosted by Mr. Carey. Joyce Woodson Winner of the 2008 Will Rogers Academy of Western Artists Best Female performer of the Year and Song of the Year for the title song of her CD "If I Hadn't Seen the West" from the Western Music Assoication! Joyce Woodson’s crystal clear voice and solid guitar work are equally adept in the folk music world or wending her way through the west with her powerful songs about the land. She’s welcome on festival stages, at coffee house concerts and among the late-night circles of practicing songwriters. Her strength is in storytelling, bringing characters to life as if they’re hunkered down at the campfire next to you. Winner of the 22nd Tucson Folk Festival Songwriting Contest, she’s played throughout southern California, worked for many years at the legendary McCabe’s Guitar Shop, performed at the Napa Valley Music Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival and is a founding member of the Western Music Association in Tucson, Arizona. She is a regular performer at the Gene Autry Museum in Burbank, California and the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming. She enjoys touring the United States from coast-to-coast, played by invitation from the BBC to perform at the Queens Festival in Belfast, Ireland. She’s toured Wales and Great Britain as well. She’s an instructor at the bi-annual music camps SummerSongs and resides in her home town of San Juan Capistrano, California. |

Gene Culkin Originally from Pennsylvania, "Cowboy Gene" Culkin is well-known for his singing cowboy style and it was his love of the West that brought him out from the East to make California his home. An active member of the Western Music Association, he is an accomplished musician and story-teller who specializes in songs of the west. Genes highly tuned balladeer Western song writing style has garnered him the moniker of "The Tunesmith" among both his peers and fans. |

The Texas Trailhands
Based in Fort Worth, Texas, The Texas Trailhands have been making cowboy music SWING since 1997. They are past winners of the Academy of Western Artists ‘Western Group of the Year, three-time winners of WMA Western Swing Album of the Year, and are WMA 2004/05/06/07 Western Swing Group of the Year. JOHN BERGSTROM "Born and raised in the L.A. area" doesn’t usually sound like the opening line for a cowboy singer.” That is, however, where John Bergstrom got his start. You can almost smell the campfire as he spins his ballads about life, heroes and bad guys in the west. For the last several years, John has been a regular at the Autry National Center and western events around Southern California.
